01

Kenwood bungalow — 8.2kW
Low-pitch shingle roof, east/west arrays, shade-aware layout.
Residential / Shingle / East and west arrays
The brief. Low pitch and mature shade.
A modest roof with limited clean southern exposure. We split the array east and west, laid it out around the shade line, and kept the front elevation untouched so the bungalow still reads as a bungalow.
02

Old Northeast — 10.4kW + battery
Historic district constraints, discreet conduit, evening backup.
Residential / Historic district / Battery
The brief. Neighborhood constraints and visible rooflines.
Historic district rules shaped everything. Conduit runs are discreet, the array stays off the street-facing slope where possible, and a home battery covers evening use and outages.
03

Gateway warehouse — 48kW commercial
Flat membrane, ballast mounts, production for daytime load.
Commercial / Flat membrane / Ballast mount
The brief. Roof penetrations and daytime load.
A flat membrane roof called for ballasted mounts that avoid penetrations. Production lines up with daytime operating hours, which is where a commercial building uses the most power.
04

Seminole Heights — 9.6kW
Tree-lined lot, microinverters, monitoring for first-time owners.
Residential / Microinverters / Monitoring
The brief. Tree-lined lot and a first-time owner.
Shade from mature trees made microinverters the sensible choice. The owner had never lived with solar, so we spent as much time on the monitoring app as on the roof.
